How to create visual studio extension to switch between documents opened

I want to create 3 buttons in visual studio editor to allow user switch between documents (html,css & cs files). how can I create visual studio extension with buttons. please advise.

What I have tried:

I searched few articles on code project and found link to creating switch but that solution is not working.

Why? Visual studio already has the ability to display multiple different document types.
