Hello all,

we need an event or something else which tells us that a windows logoff is completely done, or that upcoming "Windows Logon Screen" is active.

We replace Credential Provider (Vista Logon Screen) with an image to supress login during software deployment. But the replacement itself comes to late because we have no event like this. :~

At this time, we use a timer starting at logoff but this doesn't work safe. X|

Does anyone know some event to respond which tells us that logon-Screen is active? (or logoff is completely done...?)

Thanks a lot!

I don't know about Vista as I have not worked with it. Pre-Vista world (except for Win 2000) you will need to write a replacement GINA. Here is some info related to that, http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb742447.asp[^]

Thanks for answer but this doesn't help.

We already replace Vista Credential Provider (new GINA) with an image. That's not the problem.

The replacement itself is too late, because we have no event to respond.
In fact, we need something which tells us that windows logon screen now is aktive. (Logoff completed...)
-> Best case: No Credential Provider should appear. (-> At logoff direct Switch to the image, no chance to log in)

Does anyone know an event or something else which tells us that logoff is completely done?
