Hello Sir
in My Previous application we installed Oracle on windows 2003 server
and clients app in windows xp

now my application database will be using oracle and 3 client systems will conect to one system i.e sserver
instead of installing it on windows server can i install it on windows7 and
clients also windows7

is it makes difference installing Oracle on windows7 and windows server 2003

oracle on windows7 ----> sys1 ( win7 client application VB.net that uses Oracle as backend )
|
V sys2 ( win7 client application VB.Net that uses Oracle as backend )

server makes any difference when compare to win7
only when considering oracle data integrity and ... etc
if no issues with win7 then i go with win7 because it is a small application

waiting for your reply
thank you

What I have tried:

i tried installing using LAN ok but server makes any difference when compare to win7
only when considering oracle data integrity and ... etc

Why install on 2 servers, why not just install the DBMS on one server and the Oracle client on the Windows 7 box? For instance, I have the Oracle database 11g on Windows 2003 and Oracle client on Windows 2012 for SSRS and Windows 2012 for an application services.

It depends on the edition of Oracle Database you're installing and any options you're adding.

Is this machine you're considering running a 64-bit version of Windows 7? How much memory does it have? Disk space?
