Xbox 360 Controller Global Hook

Is there any way to make a global hook with the xbox360 controller?(e.x. I press Y while in Firefox and it pastes something.) I have tried every thing I could to my knowledge and nothings worked so far.I would appreciate some help.

.. Maybe.. the problem your facing is a matter of program dominance... you would "probably" need to run it in the system tray.. just so you could always get input, but your faced with another problem when it come to interacting with the target program, which may require an additional plugin to interact with your program.
