I have a network load balancer (NLB) on 2 production webservers in my sharepoint webapplication. Is it fine to remove 1 NLB and increase the CPU capacity and memory to 1 webserver by 100% to accomodate 1000+ users.

Should this be done & will there be any performance degradation ? Any suggestion would be helpful. Thanks.

What I have tried:

We have a NLB on 2 webservers. Planning to remove NLB node from 1 webserver on production environment having 1000+ users.

I would be inclined to asking this question in dedicated SharePoint support forums. A quick Google Search sharepoint forum - Google Search[^] found these:

* SharePoint Forums Home[^]
* Msdn forums - SharePoint[^]

Also, whilst looking around, came across this: Is Windows Network Load Balancing (NLB) required in every new sharepoint 2013 farm? - SharePoint Stack Exchange[^] ... maybe some useful information for you...
