I don't think you will get it back. There are commercial products that promise to get back deleted data, but I don't know of anyone that is 100% effective. Sorry

That is why we do backups.

Is it just the project file that was deleted, or all the source code as well? If you still have the source code then you can recreate the project.

If it has all been deleted then there is no easy way. You can google for file recovery apps that claim to recover deleted files, but there is no guarantee that they will succeed.

Restore it from your last backup. You do do regular backups, don't you?

If not, then it's time to start - this is one of the reasons we do backups, and why we do rolling backups: grandfather, father, son. That way, when we do something silly, we can undo the mistake with minimal effort, as well as recover from major problems like hardware failure, or malicious code / users.

If you don't have it backed up, and it's not in the recycle bin, then your chances of getting anything useful back are very low, and will probably take considerable time and / or cost. And the longer since it was deleted, and the more material there was, the less the chance of it working at all. There are some commercial recovery products, but ... mostly they are pretty rubbish, and using one will probably render the others unusable.

Sorry - but it's probably "restore or rewrite" time.
