I'm looking for a straightforward way for iPhone users within mobile Safari to download videos (.mp4) from my Wordpress website and saving them (losless) into their camera-roll. I want to achieve this without asking them to download Apps like Dropbox/ Documents5/ Dolphin/ WinZip (or even jailbreak), because that is just not convenient enough for my customers in my opinion! The video download should start within the fewest possible steps.

Because simply clicking on a video and saving it into camera roll within Safari mobile does not work, as you might already know, I thought of the following solution:

By clicking the download-botton of a certain video-file I want to start an automation, that sends out an iMessage (via Messages.app using Javascript for Automation (JXA)) with the desired video as an iMessage-attachement directly to the customers phone! Thereby he can save the video from iMessage to his camera roll easily. I cannot think of a more user-friendly solution to this.

(I can easily get the customers phone number/email address in the subscription process.)

How can I achieve this? I have no programming skills.

What shall I tell the programmer to do? Is this even possible? If yes, how complex/expensive would this be for me to ask of an programmer?

Or is there a much better way to solve my problem?

What I have tried:

Almost everything:
-All third party apps, which is simply too time-costly.
-other browsers
-recherching the web / Stack Overflow
