I am creating a student registration and document system using ASP.net and vb.net. My website is hosted on a godaddy shared hosting plan. I want to upload documents to the server like passport copies, pictures etc. I was unable to do so. I contacted the hosting(go daddy) and this is the reply i receieved.

If you run ASP.NET 1.1 on your Windows Hosting account, you would have "full trust" on the server. If you run .NET runtime environment 2.0 or higher, then you would have "medium trust" on the server. If you need to use ASP.NET 2.0 or higher with full trust, then you may consider a Dedicated Hosting Server. If you can use ASP.NET 1.1, then you can update this on your hosting plan.

My question is:

is there a way to handle this?
I heard from some place that is is possible to upload the files on the server in such a condition by changing the version through the code and then switching back, however i do no know if that really can work.

Kindly let me know if there is a way to go about this.

Soem web hosts don't support full trust. DiscountAsp.Net and SoftSys do.
