Hi friends, i need to turn on/off my office's room light (1 room with 1 bulb light) remotely (i.e on/off from my smartphone or laptop) as an IoT project with python programming language involved in it. Exactly which materials i need and what is the Instructions of doing this work? happy to hear your experiences.     


What I have tried:

Currently i know with aid of Ruspberry Pi and python i can do that. just this.

Raspberry pi and python sounds like a good choice, and Google will find lots of samples to help you.

Can i do that with a non-Smart bulb??

Impossible to know; it depends on what "non-smart" means, and how the light circuit is controlled.
