Select query in android studio(sqlite)

i want to get specified column data to my variable or textview. and data also need to select by me for example if there is a school database and all student database in one table now i want select give feed to app like only 10 standard student only name to be selected but i m fail to do so

What I have tried:

i learn insert, delete, and update query by youtube with the help of altertablename class where this example i m not able to found.

Lots of help and suggestions at android sqlite - Google Search[^]. You will learn better by reading tutorials and examples than watching videos.
