How do I stream live audio and record the live stream to a file for download later

Hi Guys

I want to know how i could go about added this feature to my website.

I want to be able to stream live audio but also record the audio which has been streamed and save it to my database/server so that people can download it/listen to it as and when they please.

I have not dealt with this before and would like to know how to go about achieving this.

What I have tried:

I have not yet tried much as i am not too sure how to stream and save live audio.
