Hi Guys,

I am an experience .Net programmer. And I am trying to apply for a job as a game programmer. There's a take home question, but honestly I am really confused on what is the correct formula for this problem. :-)

I need your help. Please respect me on this :-)

Here it goes...

What I have tried:

my brain hurts :-) Not a game programmer.

Per your own words, your not a game programmer but you're applying for a job as a game programmer?

Ummm... coming up with formulas for this stuff is the entire job of a game programmer! What are you going to do? Post your work assignments on the web all the time and hope somebody answers them so you can keep your job?

"your job is to figure out", the answer is right in the task they gave you. YOUR job not our job.

1 solution

The whole idea of "take home" questions is to find out if you can do the job; if you have the "right stuff" to put in the effort to do a good job.

So asking us because you can't work it our kinda answers their questions, doesn't it?

And you do realise that this is a well known site that is well indexed by Google - and that a trivial search by the company has probably already found this question...
