While sending a data with in form data is secure in web api ?

gmail login service is post method, they sending password in form data only i can able see my password. is any other way to sending a data in secure way

What I have tried:

I was checked in chrome developer tool, i can able to see my password

You can implement encryption and decryption method while communicating to Web API.
