start menu on desktop

hey,

I need a Thread or something for the windows 7 start menu button, I wont to make a button that mimics the start button.

the idea is so I can right a application in c# and use it on the desktop

Solution 1

If you want to write your own application to use as the desktop, then you need to follow some guidelines which can be found here[^].

It tells you how to replace the shell, and also disable other functionality to prevent users from getting around your desktop replacement.
