I'm a new user.

Downloads vb.net

When clicking on the download links all I get is an empty Notepad screen.

I'm using The free Download Manager program.

What I have tried:

Nothing...I do not know what to try any help would be appreciated.

Under normal circumstances, you just click on the link in your browser and it works - certainly it does for me - and downloads are normally ZIP files so Notepad would be very inappropriate.
If you hover your mouse over the download link it should give you a full path display - in Chrome it's at the bottom right of the display - and that should tell you the file type. If that says ZIP, then it's the D/L manager that is causing the problem. Try downloading it directly and see if that improves the situation, or report it here Article Writing Discussion Boards[^] including a link to the article and Sean will have a look for you.

Is this just one article? If so, which one and I'll see if it works for me.

Thanks for the reply.

What I found was that the ASPX file was not being converted by the IE 11 brouser/server

I used Firefox and Hey Presto the download now functions o.k.
