PDF document how do you force a file name on save

I have a PDF document that once saved needs to take the date closed or open ( not sure which yet) and concat with the persons name ( on the form) and make this the file name.

What I have tried:

Nothing I have no idea how to have Java affected a file name

Well the only thing that makes sense in your posting would to be check if the filename is empty.

Do we talking about saving a file or downloading via web?
What platform?
What language?
How do you create the file?
