How to do full integration of quick book API and auth with MVC web site

I've spent the last day trying to create a very simple C# ASP.NET app wherein I connect to my QuickBooks Online data and pull a list of customers.

I downloaded a sample app but so many errors and other things. I was hoping someone had a very simple 1-2-3 that did nothing but what I'm looking to do (i.e. "My First Data Access from C# ASP.NET" or something).

Can anyone please point me to such a tutorial? for MVC project using quick books api
