Remote location file copy

Hi,
I am trying to write a application which should be able to find a shared folder in another computer which is connected through LAN, and I should be able to copy selected files or entire folder to my pc!

Is it possible..? If so how..?

I don't have much knowledge, I'm a newbie here. Hoping for the best..

hi Johnny J,
I tried client server methodology... it works fine.. but i want it to be like admin application, before copying the file it should just send 1 message saying so and so is going to copy something from your pc. same time i should be able to navigate through the shared folder in other pc.
