Guidance for download files from moss 2007

Hi Experts,

I have a situation to develop Sp tool.

Scenario would be like below,

I have a Moss 2007 Sharepoint environment with 50k documents & 100gb data. I want to download those into local disk.

While download time any interruption I have to track and resume from failed state, what would be the best scenario for that,

whether it could be better to get all attachment id's first and based on that reference we would download file and mark the status

Or

Download files and mark the status parllelly.

Or

You would suggest any other approach that would be very grateful.

I'm little bit confused the approach request you to kindly give your guidance.

What I have tried:

I have plan to write attachment id into csv file and based on I'd download file from Sharepoint library but the problem is while download time if they add any new files we are unable to download those. So that only confused 😕
