Hi,

I have just set up IIS 7 in Windows 7 by ticking boxes in the 'Switch Windows components on and off' menu. The installation appeared to go okay, and I now have an inetpub directory on C: with the default welcome page in it; however, when I go to localhost in IE, the web page appears to load without error (i.e. is simply says 'Done' at the bottom) but nothing displays in the page.

I have spent all afternoon reading about all the various and changing likely looking ones, but I just can't get the default welcome page to load. I even tried completely uninstalling IIS and reinstalling it.

I know it is probably asking a bit much based on the limited information given here, but does anyone have any suggestions what might be going wrong, or can anyone point me at some good learning material on IIS 7.

Any help or advice would be very much appreciated.

Best wishes, Patrick

I have now fixed this. No idea what I did. I just uninstalled and reinstalled, and this time it worked.

Thank you to anyone who has taken the time to look at this question.

Best wishes, Patrick
