I have created CNAME record but its not working

I want to publish my website on a sub domain ex. subdomain.example.com
and I want to access it from another alias ex. alias.example.com .
for this I have created A CNAME record in my web hosting control panel

example : -

alias.example.com CNAME subdomain.example.com

but it don't working

please send solution for it
