How to share database b/w two computers?

I'm working in a wholesale shop. We are having two laptops in our shop where one is mine and the other is of my boss. Before we had win xp and we share our database in that OS, now we've changed our OS to win7, and my boss asked me for networking. I don't know how to create connection in win7 and how to share the database file, we've Microsoft Visual FoxPro database system. Now my question is how do I make a connection b/w these two laptops and how do I share the database app.

What I have tried:

I've tried making home group, joining the other computer with mine. now I was unable to share the database file b/w these two computers.

Both laptops have to be in the same group/domain, then you'll be able to see one laptop from the other laptop.
