How do I implement sign in with Twitter oauth for a chrome app

chrome doesnt run php or server side code. I want my SPA Chrome app to have twitter log in that will return the user's timeline to me.

I really just want the log in button to work at least

What I have tried:

i have read the twitter doc, i have written the php code, watch so many video and read tutorials

im just very lost
