Just a quick trivial question for you all.

I was wondering, if you place a file that is of no particular importance or relevance to a project in the project's directory or the directory inside this (the one containing the solution file), will it have any effect on the project itself?

I'm not talking about a file that is 'included' in the project.

Thanks in advance,
Senior Crispy.

Something like an image that is never used?

No it will not have any effect on the project itself. The size of your dll could go up after the compile though.

Sorry for the extremely late accept, I was reviewing all my questions and noticed I hadn't accepted a solution for this question.

Thanks. Not a problem.
Any file that you put in your project has properties that you can set to control how the program will use it. You can choose not to include it when the program compiles, or to embed it...all kinds of options. Here is the MSDN[^] for File Properties.
