Hello,

In my system which is windows XP service pack 3, visual studio 2010sp1 is installed.
Now whenever I am trying to install mvc 4.0, I am getting an error
"One or more issue causes the setup to fail. Please fix the issues and retry. For more information see the log file(click is not working!).0*81f40001- This product requires powershell 2.0".

Now I installed Powershell 2.0 .

But still issue is not resolved. I can see Powershell 2.0 installed in my control Panel> add-remove programs. Also, when I try to open Package manager console, I am getting the following error
"
C#
Error: The Package Manager Console requires PowerShell 2.0 runtime, which is not detected on this machine. Please install the PowerShell 2.0 from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/968929 and restart Visual Studio.

"
I have downloaded powershell from microsoft link.

i dont know , why this is happening and what is going wrong. Please help.

What I have tried:

I install Powershell 2.0. But the issue exists.

I googled a lot. stuck with this for 2 days. if powershell 2.0 does not work for xp service pack 3, then how can mvc 4 be installed on xp service pack 3. God help.

I can't prove it, but it seems to be intentional...
MSDN (Powershell 2.0 download FAQ):
Support for Windows XP has ended
Microsoft ended support for Windows XP on April 8, 2014. This change has affected your software updates and security options.
