How to launch an app from another app in iOS?

I want to remote control from iPhone to iPad.
So it can play videos remotely. But there are no solutions to play videos from iTunes.
So I need to launch videos app from existing my app.
Is there any solution about this?

What I have tried:

I'm tried to play videos with some open source project. But it can't play videos at all.
