How do I get properties of word & excel using C++ code

How can I access property of word/Excel file using c++ code. I have a requirement to check below property

1) Track changes is ON/OFF.
2) Document have comments inside it.
3) file name have more than 1 dot symbol

What I have tried:

I am still learning to find out how to get the properties of Excel & Word using c++ code.

This would give you very lot of examples.
