Upgrade With Setup & Deployment

Hi! everyone, I'm currently using VS2005 in windows XP and I'm planning to upgrade XP to windows 7 and maybe VS2005 to VS2010, my question is if I compile my projects in VS2005 XP to like VS2005/VS2010 Win7 and create a Setup & Deployment, then if I install it on XP would it still run/function without errors or conflicts?
