Issue while using a link inside div using the plugin : http://dotdotdot.frebsite.nl/

I am using the http://dotdotdot.frebsite.nl/ plugin to control responsively the content shown in a particular div : the watch window property used in this plugin is causing issues.

I tried putting an anchor tag inside this div so that using that anchor tag I could open a popup. But once I open the popup and resize the window the 'watch : window' property of the http://dotdotdot.frebsite.nl/ plugin gets called because of which the anchor tag used to open the popup does not work any more.

What I have tried:

If I remove the watch: window property of the plugin the problem gets resolved. But I do want to retain the watch: window property since i want to keep the content div responsive.

I checked on google but could not find any helpful answers. Could some one please help me with this.
