how would I change the wallpaper with C# back to a known path of a bitmap or remove the wallpaper for good? Is there any command for it. A SendKeys Combo would be fine.

Can't access my wallpaper settings manually any longer, it's been greyed out all options and I have a strange bitcoin wallpaper "Jigsaw's tomahawk" instead.

What I have tried:

wanted to look perhaps in the registry, but the computer says that registry has been disabled by the administrator. I know that's not true, so I got stuck there.

Any ideas which command would work if not "registry"?

The regedit command will open the registry - assuming you have administrator privileges.

And you expect us to guess why?

Sorry, I don't understand the question. I don't know what has happened to your system but it sounds like it may be in an unstable state and needs to be rebuilt.
