How to update activex flash player?

Hi , i have been trying to update my flash player for internet explorer activex in my windows 2012 server . but it is still showing up flash player version is something way beyond this one (now showing version 11 , but active version is something around 21), please help , how to update this .

What I have tried:

i have tried updating internet explorer and tried using run as administrator on the setup which was given and it shows register failed or something like that

Strange - you're the second person this week to ask that question! :)

You need to install the "Flash Player content debugger for Internet Explorer - ActiveX" file[^] from the "Additional Downloads" page[^].

You should then have the latest version of the OCX file in C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash and C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash, and your references to Shockwave Flash Object should be automatically updated to point to these updated paths.

HI , i have tried it , but it is only the debugger version , i need a standalone version , i have already read this answer in the post somewhere i read in the same discussion page , i need standalone version , also i have read somewhere that debugger version is somewhat slower than the normal version ! so cant use this.

That is the standalone version.

And don't believe everything you read. Unless you've measured the performance yourself, you have no way of knowing whether it is any slower than the "normal" version, or whether the difference is enough for you to justify taking the security risk of staying with the old version.
