Hi to everyone,

Issue:

We are facing some issue during the Force reset password or Change Password using Kerberos authentication in windows 7 x64 system and windows server 2008 server (AD forest level is set to windows server 2003).

Description:

We have customized the windows credential provider, which requires an additional authentication for login along with user name and password.  We have customized the credential provider, in such a way that it will use the kerberos authentication.  We have installed the customized credential provider in windows 7 x64 system, where the domain server is windows server 2008 sp 1 Enterprise edition (Build version 6.1.7601) and the domain forest & functional level is set to windows server 2003. The customized credential provider is working fine at windows login time.  But at the time of user password expiry or force password reset,  the user's are able to enter the old, new and conform password.  When the user enter the submit button, there is no response even, we waited for more than or equal to two minutes.

But the same credential provider is working fine in the Windows 7 system, where the AD server forest level is 2008 (Different server).

As I have surfed through internet and doubted that this may be a compatibility issue between the windows server version.  But don't know how to resolve this.  Kindly guide me on this.
