Increase dialog performance in mfc

I designed one application in MFC framework, which contains infinite iteration on 'Start'button click (until user press stop test button test is continued).It also contains multiple images which will displayed at runtime. But, the problem is that some images are not shown at starting 1-2 iteration.It displays it after it.
When I change my machines performance settings to 'Adjust Best Performance' then it shows result as expected.What is the problem behind it?Is it my coding problem?I unable to understand.

What I have tried:
