The question suggests that you know how to display positive values. Do you think negative values make any difference?

I believe that there is no problem to display negative number. Means nothing to do with this. If you want to implement something else "Improve Question" and provide your input with an example to get better response.

Hi I have abound data grid view which is displaying holdings from a call from a stored procedure one fund value has a negative value ie -1. Although a negative holdings value doesn't make sense there is still a need to display this negative value. The data grid view column default cell format value has not been set. If the column defined in the table is a float will I need to use D3 or N3 to allow negative numbers to be displayed and if it is held in the database as a varchar do I need to convert the string to an int.
