IIS 7.5 Server Manager -

I want to add FastCGI to Host PHP Applications on IIS 7. However, in my IIS 7.5 Server Manager, I did not see

C#

Roles -> Add Role Services

(referring to
iis 7 - Can't find Role Services in Windows 7 - Server Fault[^]).
Then, I opened Control Panel -> Program and Features -> Turn Windows features on and off (left sidebar). But, I could not figure out which feature should be turned on in order to get the Roles > Add Role Services.

Solution 1

You need to select CGI option in the Windows feature screen pop up. You can find it under Internet Information Services in the pop up screen. Here[^] is an article that explains the steps to do so.

You are right. I did follow the procedure before I posted the thread. But in my Server Manager, there is no Roles > Add Role Services. I have to check w/ our admin to enable this function. Thanks.

The process is different for a Windows server based computer and for Window 7 computer. Check if you are following right path.

I did the following to
1) Open Control Panels
2) Click Programs and Features to open the Wizard.
3) Click the button on the left panel to open the Windows Features wizard.
4) Expand IIS > WWW Services > Application Development Features.
5) Check on CGI.
6) Click OK to dismiss the Wizard.
Then in my IIS Manage, the FastCgiModule item is in the Module Menu of the Add Module Mapping Wizard.
