How do I make my application run smoothly and faster?

Hello Codeproject,
Recently, I have created an app that use a lot of image resources but I have noticed
that the app was too laggy and the image appear slow to load.

So is there any piece of code or any settings that could make my apps run smoothly and faster eventhough I am using intensive resource likes image?

1. Use the tracing and/or debugger to identify the part(s) of the application that take most time and other resources...
2. Try improving those parts alone
3. Come here with the code you can not improve alone and ask specific questions.
4. Go back to 1...
