My query is taking 1 second to execute but still timeout expires exception occurs at time of gridview bind

Have you specified a timeout in the command object? Is the query efficient? Where is the database (local or network)? All these are things I would ask myself if I could see the code

What can we do? You need to track down and find out what is causing the timeout error.
