I am not able to add existing content type in my test library. While using add from existing content type option to my test library, I get access denied error.

Following are the steps I perform:

-Go to Test library settings.
-Advance settings.
-Allow management of content type.
-Add from existing content type
-Selecting my customcontent (content type to be added in test library)
-On clicking OK Access denied error is thrown.

P.S. I have full control on site. Library inherits permissions from site. Parent type is Document for customtcontent content type.

please help me with the issue.

Many thanks in advance.

Hello,

Finally after so much of analysis we found the resolution. There were duplicate content type created in a site through feature. We deleted the duplicate ones by deactivating the feature and issue was solved.

One question still remains, how SharePoint allowed to create duplicate columns :(

Regards,
Mandar
