How to load video from virtual directory into windows media player object in a web form

I'm having problems trying to show wmv files in a windows media player object on a vb.net web form.

The wmv are located in a virtual directory and I simply can't show them on the wmp object. I tested if the paths where well constructed and copied and pasted them in the browser and it started to download the wmv so they are valid paths (serverip/directory/filename.wmv).


I'm creating the wmp object with javascript and tested it and works just fine when I point to a wmv included in the project but I just can't make it work with the wmv in virtual directory

I have access to the physical paths, I tried to use them but instead of loading the wmv on the wmp object it just opens my local wmp.
