I have 20 records in the list and i'm going to display 5 items in view and when click on next button again 5 items and so. any idea.

suppose i have some question and answers. in view displaying the 5 questions at once after that i have a next button again i need to show the next 5 questions like wise. so which approch can i follow. I think not a pagination.

Then you have to choose manual process so that you have more control over it. hen you say "not pagination" means what?

Use PagedList[^]. Refer the example from here[^].
And if you don't want to use that, then you can use Skip()[^] & Take()[^] for paging.
