How do you convert an STL file into an image (jpg, png, etc) using C#?

I am trying to convert an stl file into an image file (or capture an image from an STL file).
For example, 3D hubs (http://www.3dhubs.com) captures a 2D image from an uploaded STL file.
If any of you have an efficient way to do this, please let me know. A link (source code if possible) that explains how to do it would also be appreciated.

Solution 1

At first you have to render 3D scene, and only after it you can create image file.
