deadlock detection,prevention, avoidance techniques

-discuss a comparison between any two operating systems on what techs(above) they use

searched the net, a lot material on deadlocks but there is nothing which says like winxp uses these techs and linux uses these

please,

provide links, guides references from where i can find the above (any ieee papers etc)

Sorry but you are going to have to do this work for yourself. Start reading the reference materials you can find on the different operating systems.

did try googling it, yes i have read many reference material but none say that win xp uses this or that all say operating systems! please help

Different systems handle things differently.

There are a variety of techniques / libraries that can be used for multi-threading. For example you can use CreateThread or CreateThreadEx, .NET/C# multi-threading, or a variety of open source / vendor libraries.
