Add Authentication page before web application

Hi All,

We have a web application (third party) which we want to restrict users based on IP address. Application server have two IP which, one on Intranet and other on external. For an example if user A access from external want to block access and User B can access from external.

Application: Java
Deployed on : Tomcat 6
Deployed OS: Windows server

Please let me know if there is a way to achieve this without changing the web application as we do not own the application.
