When to use OAuth 2.0 vs SAML VS WS-Federatation

I have been working on security related stuff in azure. mainly on providing security for back end services with API Management.

We have Authorization protocols like OAuth 2.0 and WS-Federation,SAML and so on,... and i guess internally we need to select token format as SAML 1.0 or JWT for OAuth 2.0

My worrying is i am not sure when to use OAuth 2.0, SAML and WS-Federation and even not sure whether i am comparing related items.

Can any one show some light on this
