As phil.o pointed out, that message is clear.

Did your client install MS Windows 10 on server or on client's machines?

on client machine

Version of operating system on client's machines is not important. Server OS is very important.

SQL Server 2008 is not supported on Windows 10. There is nothing to do about that.
You have to use at least SQL Server 2012 instead.

Can you install SQL Server 2008 on Windows 10?[^]

Not sure that's entirely accurate - I have 2008 R2 SP1 happily running on my Windows 10 PC.

My PC was upgraded from Windows 8.1, but this answer[^] suggests that installation is not blocked on Windows 10.

At least, this is what is specified on the first link I provided.
It says it is not supported, that does not mean that it is by nature impossible, but that could mean a lot of difficulties to deploy, and, over all, no security updates and fixes, which makes a hell of a difference.
Thanks for your feedback :)
