how to fix width and height of an rdlc subreport and anchor it within main rdlc report

dear friends !

could you please consult me - i am almost stuck with the problem ...

i design an rdlc report with subreports. the report is mostly designed to be printed. one data record of the main report is expected to be printed on a single a4 sheet.

the number of records in every subreport varies of course. and this causes the main report to be longer or shorter than a4 sheet length.

placing a subreport inside a rectangle mentioned not once in internet posts but it seems not to work properly ...

will be much appreciated !
