In Atom, I can Ctrl+F to bring up a Find/Find & Replace pane, or section, at the bottom of the window. When I'm through with it, I want it to bow out of the room (hide), so I've got as much real estate as possible for my code window.

How can I do that?

The View table has nothing promising, and right-clicking on that pane/portion just asks me if I want to launch Meteor.

What is "Atom"?

My guess would be https://atom.io/[^] - yet another text editor.

Now I just need to know what "86" means. :)

Mash the Esc key. Since this comment is too short to be published, I will say that "Esc" is short for "Escape." Clint Eastwood played in "Escape from Alactrazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz"
