rodata section both readable and writable

Hi All,

I have a test.o file, to which I did a readelf and I see rodata has both READ & WRITE permissions. Here is the output.

[14] .rodata PROGBITS 00000000004005f8 000005f8
000000000000001c 0000000000000000 WA 0 0 8

Now my question is how can I make the rodata READ only.
Any linker option to make the rodata READ only for the final executable.

Any help...
