Want to know about WML

Hello All,

I have surfed a lot to know about the WML, also learned few things.

Here i have some queries over WML,

1) Does it used to develop only the applications for basic mobiles which doesn't has
any GUI. (Basic Nokia 1100 arrived before 2004).

2) Up to i have learned the mobile simulator and the simulator gateway is needed to develop the WML in the PC but is there any othe Integrated Development
Environment for that. Can we create WML applicartions in Visual Studio, (should
be no actually) but want a confirmation from some one who are having some
experience.

3) Please dont Refer me any links already did a lot. Your knowledge sharing will be most helpfull.
