It's hard to know what's going wrong with your app. Remember that modeless dialogs must be created on the heap (i.e. with new CYourDialog) or defined as members of the parent window, and never be defined as local variables inside a funtion. What am I missing?    Load either project, and then open the other project's RC file in DevStudio.  You can then drag and drop between RC files (hold down the CTRL key during the drag to force a copy operation).    You can also just open both RC files and do the same thing.    Peace! -=- James. Is that the same thing?    No.  All that should happen then is the "other" DevStudio showing a message that a file has been modified and should be reloaded (if it had that file opened at the time it was changed).    BTW: You should be doing the Drag-N-Drop only across a single instance of DevStudio...  Just open both files in DevStudio.      Peace! -=- James. Drag P1.rc into DevStudio. It will display as a group of resources. Select the dialog (or any other resource) you want to copy, and do Edit|Copy. Click the root of project P2's resource tree and do Edit|Paste. This will copy the resource (but not the source files). If so, you'll first need to check out the P2.rc and P2's resource.h files in order to modify them. If not, make sure these files aren't read-only. Right now I've got a working application, but it's a bunch of registry hacks and requires a reboot. If anyone can at least point me in the right direction, I'd be most gratefull. I'd assume there's a bunch of functions that handle this functionality for me instead of having to manually edit the registry. I just have yet to find anything that covers this topic. Did you manage to install TCP/IP programmatically? Well, congratulations, but chances are your code works only for your particular OS and SP. I'm afraid there's nothing like a system API that you can call to initiate the intallation of the TCP/IP stack. Best way to deal with this is IMHO to instruct the user to manually install the TCP/IP stuff himself. Remember that in order to do that the user will have to insert his own Windows CD (providing the required files yourself would be illegal). However, the APIs are totally undocumented (and for good reason). I have a multi-dialog application which generates error-messages, but often, the messagebox is hidden behind another dialog. For the MessageBox HWND, I've tried various things, including GetFocus(), etc, but I get various results... Is there a function which returns an HWND that might get me the results I want?
